Award for Early career African American artists. The William H. Johnson Foundation for the Arts is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that seeks to encourage African American artists early in their careers through its annual award, The William H. Johnson Prize. Early career African American artists who work in painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, installation and/or new genres are eligible to apply.
Dave Bown Projects - 7th Semiannual Competition - Prizes $10,000

Jurors: Jeremy Adams, CUE Art Foundation, New York; Janet Dees, SITE Santa Fe; David S. Rubin, San Antonio Museum of Art. Prizes: $10,000 USD (1 artist will receive $5,000 USD and 5 artists will each receive $1,000 USD).  Dave Bown Projects will be buying works of art from artists as submissions are received.
Akbank Sanat International Curator Competition

Started in 2012, Akbank Sanat International Curator Competition has the goal to provide support for emerging curators, reinforce interest in curatorial practices, and encourage new projects in the field of contemporary art. The winning curator is given opportunities to realize the proposal as an exhibition that will take place in the first half of 2014 at Akbank Art Centre, Istanbul, accompanied by an exhibition catalogue and additional activities.
The Independent Artist Fair (TIAF) London

London October 16-20th 2013 - Exciting opportunity to exhibit in London during the busiest week of the art calendar. Running concurrent to Frieze Art Fair, TIAF will be an artist led platform for individual artists to show work in a group show 100%commission free.
neo:graduates2013 – Call For Entries (UK graduates)

neo:graduates2013 is a juried exhibition aimed at artists who have graduated in the last two years. From submissions received approximately 20 artists will be shortlisted by a selection panel made up of leading artists and curators. The 20 shortlisted artists will feature in the group exhibition which runs from October through December at neo:gallery22 and will also be automatically considered for one of the prizes on offer, including a twelve week all expenses paid residency at neo:studios sponsored by The University of Bolton.

The Banff Centre's Film & Media Artist-in-Residence program provides a rich, well-supported environment for professional development for artists in digital film and media, audio, research, and photography. Residencies are ideal for individuals and teams who want time and space to create new works, research innovative ideas, and experiment with different techniques and modes of production. Projects in all stages, from experimentation to production and post-production, are welcome.
The Banff Artist in Residence (BAIR) program in Visual Arts provides time and space for individuals and groups to create new works, research innovative ideas, and experiment with different techniques and modes of production. Participants are provided with an individual studio accessible 24 hours a day, as well as use of Visual Arts facilities including printmaking, papermaking, ceramics, sculpture, and photography. Access to these facilities is subject to additional fees.
